http://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/careersandeducation/the-only-5-interview-questions-that-really-matter-and-how-to-answer-them/ar-BBl1h0Z?ocid=iehp#page=2

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO and founder of Facebook, describes his hiring process this way:

I will only hire someone to work directly for me if I would work directly for that person.

Zuckerberg's comment illustrates an overlooked, yet fundamental, truth about hiring—people are ultimately looking for someone they want to work with.

This is why companies of all types will ask you the same five questions.

Human nature ensures interviewers return to these questions time and again to find out if you're someone they want to have down the hall.

Your ability to wow the interviewer and land the job hinges on how well you answer these questions.

Fear not! I've provided perfect answers to the five questions you will be asked every time you interview.

And then, everyone will cram these answers. You will then have the same confusion as was before. Net = 0.

With interviewing, there's no one sure shot way. Your individual approach and presentation play a key role. Instead of cramming, just find/practice from your own life situations, and believe me you will have better chances to excel at the interviews. Take a chill pill, and approach the interview as a mere conversation between two people. That's when it has high chances to succeed as well. Be honest and remember to do your homework; and prepare all those references in advance. Basically, if you're job hopping every few years, the answers to all possible questions as well as good references should be in your back pocket at all times. Like a soldier, get ready for the action at all times.

I don't believe in the high words from the achievers. They did and do what they think was/is best for themselves. Everyone else in the lower step of the ladder have different situations.

In an interview , there so no one perfect answer .

An acquaintance who works with Facebook told me that the selection process is quite stringent and generally goes through multiple interviews and individuals and even if one of those people say ' I think he is good but .... ' ... that does it ... the candidate is out of the queue.

Nevertheless - thanks for sharing the article ...I always read interview articles as there's always an opportunity to introspect...

Ok, the link says " 5 ways to get your resume noticed".

So how is it a good one? Did you try it and it worked or did any of your friends tried it and did they get a job based on that?

Stop googling and posting, without any explanation.

recruiters take on average 6 seconds to view resumes.

If you’re applying for a job that requires Java, Python and C++, these skills should not be nestled somewhere deep in your resume. Under your “technical skills” section they should be one of the first few bullet points. Read the job description thoroughly; recruiters and hiring managers will tell you which skills are necessary to be qualified for their openings. Make sure your resume reflects that.

Applying through career websites and portals are nice. However, if you really want to get your resume noticed you need to get it in the hand of the hiring manager or recruiter hiring for that position. For smaller companies this is much easier, for larger companies it can be difficult.

Direct contact with the hiring manager or recruiter will get your resume a closer look than applying with the masses.

Phrases like “Highly qualified”, “results focused”, effectual leader” etc. are becoming more fluff than anything else. There is a lot of truth to that.

Remember the 6 seconds recruiters are giving resumes? You need to get to the point immediately. If you are results focused, give live examples to drive that point home. Highly qualified? Tell me why. As a recruiter I want to see tangible results or evidence not just fluff phrases.

For me, when I was interviewing, outside of my career accomplishments, I added that I was an active recruitment blogger. I wanted my future employer to know I am not just in recruiting for the 9-5, that I am passionate about the industry and that passion results in a stronger work ethic. You have to look at your resume as the time to show the person who is viewing it how awesome you really are.

The more well connected you are and the harder you work, the better your chances are at landing that next position. (LAST LINE IS ESP FOR TK WHEN HE LANDS IN VANCOUVER IN 2020)

Article is good for new immigrants who are applying for a job. :)
