If Canadian company, then Sunlife is better.
If Indian, then Tata is better.

Ps. (not based on my personal experience but rather the talk of the town)

Go for the Canadian one. I used 'Travel Underwriters' 3 years ago when my parents first visited me for an year. Since, they were healthy with God's grace, we never needed the insurance services. But, it's good to have one for a peace of mind.

Do not opt for the Indian company. I have heard quite a bad reviews. One of my friend got an insurance from I think ICICI, his mother had a heart attack, and he had to run around for months (kept calling) to free up some of the coverage money.

Be Careful with the PRE-EXISTING conditions and fill the medical form honestly & truthfully.

If in doubt use a family doctor , if you want..to fill the forms.

The insurance company will use every excuse in the book & loophole to deny you coverage otherwise..so DON'T give them ANY chance to do so.

They are your BEST friend when NOTHING happens , and your WORST enemy when SOMETHING happens & you make a claim :)

Never misrepresent in your Insurance ... They will shrug you off when it comes to the claim .

Not sure if they provide visitor insurance , but please check out gms.ca .. Have been using it for visiting US.

off topic: people sometime don't take visitor insurance seriously , but it is actually very useful

I have witness a situation recently. one of the international student came here to study and within just 6 days , she fainted and drop on floor.

other student think because of FAST she may have fainted, but since it happens in college, college had call ambulance - and that was her luck.

they found tumor in her brain - now why m i saying this story ??

Its unfortunate that she has tumor but she is also lucky that she was cover by insurance and all her treatment and surgery as well as parents stay and ticket , all has been taken care by insurance....

Now just think for a moment if she didn't have insurance ??

So folks please advice all of your friends or relative to have insurance taken care at any cost.
