seeking advice - Revenue Canada Exams- Tax Payer Service Agent post - CRA
|
My wife had applied with CRA for the post of Tax Payer Service Agent position and have received their email for testing . We have only 10 days to prepare for exam (while working in a full time job).
If anyone has appeared for the testing for this job post, could they please help / guide me about what to expect in the exam?
Given that she have never appeared for the Govt testing /exams before so she is quite curious to know what should be preparing for. following are the areas that she would be tested on:
The following tests will be administered at the testing session:
Information about the Writing Skills Test:
Test # 1
The testing session will last approximately 2.00 hours.
She must achieve a Level 2 (pass mark of 62 out of 106) on the Writing Skills Test to continue in this process.
The Writing Skills Test is ninety minutes long. It consists of five subtests and assesses the following:
• Spelling
• Grammar
• Vocabulary
• Punctuation and Capitalization
• Sentence Sequencing
Test # 2
Test: Situational Judgment Test – Recruitment Version
Information about the SJT-R
The testing session will last approximately 3.00 hours.
She must achieve a mark of 60/102 on the Situational Judgment Test - Recruitment Version (SJT – R) to continue in this process. The SJT-R has a time limit of two hours twenty minutes...
Thanks in advance

If I were to prepare myself for a test with them (CRA) and prepare now, TEN days is (Edit ARE ) not sufficient. I will need Ten MONTHS. (Edit to PREPARE MYSELF FOR IT. You have to have an Excellent Command of the English Language and (Edit READING WRITING AND ) the Communication Skills and also (Edit Posses) General Knowledge, and basics of all (Edit SECURITY PROCEDURES with EXACT ANSWERS TO THEM) Security Questions.and answers.Must know how to operate their main (Edit FRAME) computers.
Seems like a book on Fundamentals, but worth reading. Has 456 Pages. Check the library for a take out copy.

The last known version or the update was January 2007. See if there are any Newer Editions. Ask a Bookseller like Chapters or the local Library.
