Sorry to digress, but in context of India's so-called free judiciary, does anyone know where is Sunanda Pushkar's case heading? Out of sight is out of mind. Right?

Media such as Deccan Chronicle ran stories against Ravi linking him to another lady IAS officer. This is nothing but dirty/sh***y reporting. What si surprising is that the newspaper never mentioned how they know these things.

The city police commissioner and the Home Minister are out of the scene (in hiding) after claiming that it was suicide, even before the body was sent to autopsy. The CM never cared for the grieving family. It's all rotten politics.

We all think that ache din will come. Has anyone thought abt these things for ache din? Nah... It's just a slogan. One person, Modi, cant fix or fight or change the system. As long as there are rotten netas, nothing changes.

For sure no one will be punished, post mortem report will also point to suicide as did the CM and the commissioner or will be inconclusive as whim-ed by the mafia. Media will change the focus in due course. . No arrest will be made..Case and petitions will linger..

What is almighty doing for these good guys and their ever grieving families ?

There are ONLY 3 outcomes of CBI , CID inquiries , when politiciams, VVIP , rich Businessman & Industrialist are involved :

A. 99 % of the time NO one is punished or found guilty & everyone goes SCOT FREE.
Everything is hushed up & people soon forget about the case. Public memory is very short in India.

B. 1 % of the time the guilty are actually found guilty to appease the public.
They go to jail for 2-3 days just for show. Even for these 2-3 days they get 5 STAR treatment inside the jail, with amazing food , service & visitors et al. So they DON'T even suffer for these 2-3 days.
Then they are released on some technicality , appeal to a higher court or on some medical grounds, NEVER to be touched again.

C. Some low level criminal or even some innocent guy is made a scape goat & punished. While the real culprits and the BIG shots go SCOT FREE. They will torture him & give him third degree & beat a confession out of him.

Now your guess is as good as mine, which of the above 3 things , A,B Or C is going to happen.

There is NO D. in the above situation , where D. means the real guilty party is punished and held responsible for their crimes & face the full extent of the law.

Corrupt police , Corrupt judges , Corrupt lawyers , threats , hooligans, money, intimidation, political intereference, witness killing/threat , evidence tampering, shoddy & incompetent police investigation , coverup et al will make sure that D. never happens & ONLY A,B or C happens !

Huh? That's a rather typical desi reaction, all emotion and no logic. While it is really sad that an honest man lost his life, it is crazy to think that the PM of a country of over a billion people can somehow "fix" individual cases of corruption.

What about the people of India? Where is the will and persistence to do something about this?

The issue is everybody wants someone else to fix the problem and therefore the rare display of courage from folks like Ravi who stick their head out is easily "taken care of". The way this story plays out usually is people forget and move on with their lives. There is no collective will for lasting change in the vast majority of such cases.

Anybody who's waiting for politicians (no matter how good) to solve this for them have their head in the sand. Real change comes from the people, it is their persistence and tenacity that makes a difference.

Agree, Though let me remind that there was unprecedented tenacity shown by people during Anna's movement for lok pal and Damini case. It was huge for sure, and the result is in front of you. Politicians , mocked the tenacity, by creating a mild lokpal, such that its been 14 months no arrest is made in any corruption case. And the rape laws do not prevent a rapist from earning fame through interviews on premier channel. I have a firm belief that unless there is willingness by politician to change the laws and system and punish the guilty nothing will move, not by people.
Thats why I support AAP , with a hope that at least intention is there and the party was formed when thick skinned politician did not give a heed to tenacity of crowd. I do not see any such willingness coming from current BJP govt. There are half hearted attempts here and there but can we call BJP an anti corruption crusader ?
From your point , People supporting BJP or congress have their head in the sand , right ?

Last I knew, Politicians are the ones make laws and pass bills in Parliament for the welfare of 'aam aadmi'.

But, you know what? You're absolutely right. Expecting Politicians (BJP or Congi) to do something good for masses is an exercise in futile. They (Politicians) are actually quite busy in 'Mandir, Masjid'.

Real change and action (Dharnas) when shown by 'AAP' and general public is often laughed and ridiculed at. Then, prey, tell me how the Real change can come from the very people?

I again, agree with you that we have had our heads in sands for the past 70 years, and will continue on the same paths.
