CD,
Just a general health and wellness question.
These days I am feeling too tired to do the things that I used to do with full vigour previously.

Let me tell you my schedule:

Wake up - 6:45 am.
Cleaning vessels, boiling milk - Till 7:15 am.
Nature call - Till 7:25 am.
Wake up cousins, get them ready to go to school (incl. breakfast, snacks for them, bathing them, putting on their uniforms ,dropping at school) - Till 8:30 am.
Getting ready for office (incl. eating bf, washing cloths) - Till 9:30 am.
Office - 10 am till 7:30 pm (Office includes 2 hour site visits and 1 hour office work. Rest of the time just on the internet. I take 10 min. lunch break, 15 min. snack break).
Home at - 8:30 pm (after purchasing milk, meat , veggies)
Work at home - 8:30pm to 10:30 pm (Ironing, washing vessels, watching TV news)
10:30 pm till midnight - Watching Movie clips on TV, facebook, internet
Midnight - sleep.

I do this schedule Monday to Friday. Saturday is full day office. Saturday nights I go to do grocery shopping for the week. Sunday is taking cousins to church, park, tutions etc.. I also do washing / ironing.

Now my questions is, I mostly feel very tired. There is no energy in me to do all these chores happily. People would laugh if they know that a Cdn. citizen was so lazy like this in India. I want to work well in my office, atleast doing 6 hours work per day.

How are CD's coping with this kind of lethargy in Canada? Any tips?

Murali

Get your iron level checked !

Make cousins independent.

Dont do daily shopping.

Dont watch movie late night, sleep in time. I pads / internet are monsters that take away your life ! Spend that time on meditation / yoga (easy to preach for me LOL !)

Hire a maid for vessels if you can.
Ironing : get done outside if you can.

Tks.

TK: Thank you for informing us about the time spent in attending to Nature's call. That was the only piece of information we didn't know about you. :-)

Frankly, i never have experienced any lethargy problems in Canada, as i am constantly around 'beautiful white people'. As you know very well, 'beautiful white people' have a way of making life more exciting than it really is.

Solution: You need to comeback to Canada.

take B12 injections.... makes a lot of difference. Maybe you have a deficiency of B12 which needs to be boosted. But remember you need money to pay for those injections...

Maybe the lack of enthusiasm in your life or the fact of not achieving anything in the whole life is making you mentally tired...

Start working out your life plan once again. Take help of elders...or from people who have achieved something in their life despite of their age or number of post on CD !!

oh ya....forgot to mention that, always EAT HEALTHY & GOOD FOOD....

cheap options will give you cheap vitamins which will act like politicians in the parliament house.

Man, that looks pretty hectic to me. You might be getting stressed out. Aashu's pointers are good. Reference to your precisely scheduled defecation was hilarious.

I noticed that your commute times are extremely low in contrast to major metros in India. You live close to your place of work?

I also noticed that there is not much physical activity in your schedule. Try incorporating it into your busy life-- like, not using the elevator at work, walking whenever possible etc . This is not a short term solution but over the course of time your body will be thankful to you. If your workout is rigorous(like going to the gym) then best you do it during the evening, and you'll sleep like a baby. You'll also become more active during the day.

Also watch your diet and what kinds of foods you are eating as the day goes by. Foods like dosas, idlys, breads etc can make you groggy earlier in the day. Your body uses all its energy trying to digest those kinds of foods and as a result you feel tired.
