Hi ,

I have started watching tere sheher mein in star plus. This serial about a family from mumbai who's father becomes bankrupt due to crisis. They loose all their properties in Paris and his daughter engagement is broken. Rishi is stamped as a fraud in media. They face shortage of money. The family shifts to Banaras, their hometown. Initially Amaya hated Banaras. But she decided to become strong and independent.

It is a very exciting show and am watching this on my samsung smart tv with XXXXXX subscription.

Edit: Thank you smartypants. Your fake review much appreciated

Wow.. Am I the only one who doesn't find time for TV?? I moved here 2 months ago & haven't bought a TV yet. My TV-addicted husband doesn't even miss it anymore :D

Without the luxury of a maid/cook here, our evenings are spent cooking & washing & having dinner at home. Or we just go somewhere like Park or a new restaurant or visit new places in the city (Ex. CityPass attractions etc) or play Badminton.

When & how many hours do you guys watch TV on an average?? Maybe with no outdoor activities in Winter, we might have to get a TV then.

Anybody here watch old British sitcoms? They are mostly aired on local public broadcasting channels.

Haven't tried them. I am aware of the 'Office' and 'Monty Python', but never got a chance to watch any. May be, will try it sometime.

These days, I am trying to get hold of 'The Americans', and finishing up on the 'True Detective'. Will branch out to the next once they are done.

Is this only me, or you guys think that this is the best time for Hollywood shows? I have never been so enamored by TV (English) before. There's so much to watch, unlike our Desi TV/movies that have stuck to suck.

Here are some that I am still trying to catch up to:

The Americans
Fargo
True Detective
American Horror Story
The Wire
Person of Interest
Prison Break
GoT
Rome

I haven't watched the American version of "Office", however I watched a Hollywood movie called "Office Space", which is based on the original British series. The movie is hilarious:D , and for IT guys a little bit closer to reality.

I saw it in US when it was released, but it apparently did not do too well in the theaters. It eventually went on to become a cult classic, a perennial favorite in "Blockbuster Videos".
