Some explanations.
Depending on what your income is, you are eligible for Ontario Trillium benefit.
For example, if your last salary was less than $ 20,000 per annum, you & your family might be eligible. But you wrote your real income in Saudi. So you may not be eligible.
GTA does not come under North ontario. North Ontario is for aboriginals.

Dear TK, but don't you think Ontaio Trillium Benefit is specifically for residents of North ontario!
What do you mean by saying that if I write my real income of Saudi, I become ineligible ! Also I have looked at the application form, which nowhere asks you to declare your worldwide income !
Please clarify.

FH, appreciate your detailed reply, may I ask if I am eligible for Ontario Trillium Benefit, I am a new immigrant and live in a rental apartment with no source of income in Canada yet. Secondly, does GTA come under North Ontario !

Just to give you an idea as to what the Ontario Government considers an area as Northern Ontario.. : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Ontario
Northern Ontario Energy Credit.. : http://www.fin.gov.on.ca/en/credit/noec/
Property Tax Credit .. : http://www.fin.gov.on.ca/en/credit/oeptc/
FH.
Anyone who resides in these areas and also who work there will get these benefits.
The Auto registration rates are low too. The Gas is subsidized for the users. Also those who have to travel, for Medical Attention, a distance of 100KM will get an allowance too. All of these are frills which they receive and is known to those who live in those areas. INFO.

Thanks FH, I ave recently received some payment under OTB title, but I had never applied for it. I had only applied for child care benefits and HST credit. Neither I have submitted my first tax return yet. So is it right to say that you don't necessarily need to apply for it, but can sometime get it based upon your CCTB and HST application !! Whereas I have seen a seperate application form for OTB.
