I do not know if someone has started a thread related to movie "DEV" currently in Indian theatre but not a hit i believe. This movie is worth mentioning from various angles.

First of all in my personal view it has been my best watch on theatre in my recent memory.

Second point is the technical and directorial quality of the movie which I judge among the best in recent time.

Third is the cast of the film which ny no means is less than a super star cast.

Fourth, it is controversial and debatable, is the subject which reflects a tiny part of the real atmosphere and background story of what might have happened in last Gujrat riots. If one is to believe the political character of the india, portrayed in the movie, it is really heart burning and forces us to think there is soemthing really terribly wrong with us Indians which we need to introspect.

Fifth, is strange, the producer has invested in a subject which in all probability might not have been given back his investment. But still he invested with such a big star cast. Hats off to him.

Sixth and the last, my opinion is my guess. Amitabh must have really enjoyed his work in this movie, the most, after Sholay, as such movies are rare in a lifetime.

Overall I higly recommend the readers to see the movie in a theatre if available or on home theatre on reasonably big screen with surround sound if possible. This movie is worth home collection.

Great movie ... a classic in itself.

If seen with an open mind, it leaves a lot for introspection.

What can be imagined, can be achieved.

Not a bad movie...not great either but worth watching once...

I must say DEV is an excellent movie ... well directed,brilliant acting and very much practical storyline
for big B and OM Puri

N.B If you watch AAN after DEV you will realise the difference between two films .... both film has same story line i.e Police force
