It is not to the general public. I believe only 24000 people falls into that category who were criminals and supported the AAP in the exchange of the freebies like this.

What about the people who paid their bills on time? Have they done any crime? If not paying bills considered a great act in India, I am glad I am not living in India.

Even if it was a poll promise it doesn't make it right. It is a bribe. It is an illegal act. Have your commonsense in place and think outside the AAP mentality. Please!

Costing the exchequer for a general public services? Are you kidding me? Do you just oppose for the sake of opposition?

Have you guys ever questioned the VIP BMWs, Helicopters, foreign trips, Party ad funds (500 cr. each for BJP and Congress), etc.? And, how much they cost the exchequer? In the last 67 years, has there been any serious discussion on the countless money being spent on the Ministers, Bureaucrats, Babulogs' luxurious lifestyle and limitless expenses, when India has a percentage of malnourished children even higher than that of Africa?

Source:

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/jan/10/child-malnutrition-india-national-shame

http://www.firstpost.com/india/my-malnutrition-better-than-yours-why-india-should-still-be-very-ashamed-754357.html

When did someone on this CD ever questioned the rotten food grain, and the worst possible policies, sans any productive action in this regard by the agriculture minister? When were the forum pages being filled up on the topics of hundreds of communal deaths in Ayodhya, Gujrat, Delhi? Never.

If not then, why question the subsidies to the general public that is justified in any sense. This guy did in one month what the mainstream parties’ govt. couldn’t do in so many years. That’s the real nightmare for BJP and Congress. Are they shaken? Oh! Yes! Very much.

To quote Kejri,"If I were to buy a Helicopter worth 500 cr. in order to commute to work from Kaushambi to the Secretariat, I would be deemed as an Efficient and Productive CM. Worst still, no one would raise an eyebrow. Suddenly, everyone questions when spending the same amount towards Public's daily needs."

Double standards, eh!

Here's something for your eyes. Tell me how many times have we discussed this here on CD?

Congress, BJP, and others line up Rs. 2000 Cr. Ad Blitz:

http://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/newdelhi/cong-bjp-others-line-up-rs-2-000cr-ad-blitz/article1-1091149.aspx

Badals' (Punjab) proposed Rs. 1000 cr. fleet from exchequer (during the times when the Public service employees haven't got their paycheck for the last few months):

http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2012-06-25/india/32408506_1_civil-aviation-fleet-fiscal-deficit

I say it again. Had we have such a close scrutiny of each of these unjustified actions of a mainstream parties in the past 67 years, India would've been a better/greater places to live and thrive.

Tell me, how come hundreds of projects in your esteemed and God's own State 'Gujrat' being passed in no time without any kickbacks to the State Govt.? I say it's impossible, at least in the present India. How is it not a corruption, then?

Baat kartey hein!

OK we are confusing 3 things here ...

a. ACB files Natural gas price increase FIR on the Biggies ( you have agreed this is a good move)

b. AAP slashed 50% electricity for registered and needy households -- a pre poll promise ... Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government cleared a 50% cut in electricity tariffs, delivering on yet another poll promise a day after it announced metered consumers will get 20 kilolitres water every month free of cost.

The government was also on course to ordering an audit by the national auditor into the finances of three power distribution companies, another key poll promise.

c. AAP provides waiving to 50% off electricity bill to people who participated in the electricity , water andolan - This was their pre election promise. This is not discriminatory as this was open to anyone who wished to avail of it and were willing to join the Pani Bill Andolan ...

So do you regard MK Gandhi's S atyagraha and making salt against the Govt. wishes also a criminal act ?

As to EF s concern that all these subsidies will back fire - they would not if AAP is able to control costs , corruption & price rise ..

It was against a foreign rule against British occupied India. Currently Indian Government is elected by the people.

Coming to street to save a Spam Naughty Bharti and labeling is as Satyagrah? Gandhi must be feeling ashamed!

Difference in our opinions ..MKG must be feeling proud because today's India's situation under the corrupt leaders / bureaucrats / businessmen is more rabid and miserable than at that time.

But at least you agree that Dharnas and boycott movements are legible means of expressing one self ..

And they are very valid and legible means for fighting injustice and corruption when the Govt. and its leaders are itself corrupt. Recall how the Cong Govt ordered Ramdev supporters to be lathi charged by Delhi Police in the middle of the night .

Who does not know of the politician - criminal - businessman nexus in India which is eating India like a termite ... So the Dharnas and the boycott movements are against that ... and you prefer to call it anarchy just to downplay it ...

BTW the Govt that Delhi is having is per the will of the people as much as it is at the Centre ..... And it is this emerging will of the people that parties like BJP are concerned about !!

The motive of the Dharna is very important my dear friend. To save Spam Nath Bharti can't be a good motive. It is a bad motive.

Will of the people? 30 percent only voted for the AAP, rest against it. A corrupt Kejri can't help others. Before preaching others he needs to act on himself.

A habitual liar can't be compared with Gandhi.

Please get your facts straight - the motive of the dharna was the lack of law and order in Delhi and safety for women .. one of the Officers sent on leave was stationed at the PCR van where the foreign national was raped .

I think the Constitution of India makes only a majority come into power either on its own or as an alliance ...On its maiden election AAP scored 28 seats .... wonder why the people of Delhi gave him 28 seats .... They are stupid and idiots and AAP REtards are the only wise ones !!
