Rahul is built up as a PM candidate by a miniscule section of minority population, who may be found occupying powerful positions in bureaucracy, banking, industrial houses and media like Madras and Kottayam Christian community. They daydream that Rahul can be made the PM of India, just by negative media campaign and "Vs" comparison against Narendra Modi alone.

Apart from the much touted compassion for the poor, Rahul needs charisma, oratorical skills, political acumen, intellectual capacity, analytical skills,education, organisation skills, leadership etc. He seems to have none of these. Rahul Gandhi is unable to wrest even his own home state Uttar Pradesh from Mayawti and Mulayam who are in power alternately.

In contrast, Modi not only became the CM of Gujarat by toppling the well entrenched and senior Keshubai of the powerful Patel community, he is able to keep the position and that of his party,three times in a row during the last more than 10 years.

Modi on his part is not charismatic like Nehru or educated like MMS. But he seems down to earth, honest and truthful. For instance, during his first term Gujarat was facing severe power shortage. He did not hesitate to withdraw subsidy for the poor and the farmers, telling them frankly that they have to choose between 24 hours uninterrupted quality power supply or inefficient power supply with frequent power cuts. He implemented the former and the difference was there for all to see as now Gujarat is a power surplus state. We need a similar style of functioning at the Centre too in contrast to the sophisticated, suave, intellectual, but corrupt, dishonest and meek Nehruvian style projected by the Congress.

you are absolutely right i am a die-hard friend of NaMo. I do not know from which state you belongs, but for me when i visited after seven years and found huge changes in Gujarat and impressed with progress in Gujarat too.

We had a issue with

Electricity - in a day minimum 6 to 7 hours no light for sure, Now 24 hours electricity without interrupt after NaMo in power.

Water issue - Narmada water project helps a lot for small villages and city as well after NaMo in power.

Education : Schools are much better than what i studied after NaMo in power.

Jobs: Most of people have a jobs (Except A****L who doesn't wants to do job)
Big MNC, Tata, Reliance, etcc. after NaMo in power.

Tourism - example : No one wants to visit Kutch because of dessert area now after introduced "Kutch - Rannutsav" people from all around world wants to come and visit one time "Rann of Kutch" after NaMo in power.

Roads - From Ahmadabad to reach my destination Kutch was taking at-least 8 to 9 hours because of bad road conditions, now we have 4 or 6 lanes highway took me 5 and half to reach my destination after NaMo in power.

NaMo promised public in Election that what he can do or what not? and exactly he did it.

I remembered in Govt. Office officers/clerks even doesn't want to touch your file and asking for Money upfront and no body was listing your complaints at all.

Now it changes talk to Officer/clerk if he doesn't want listen than you can complaint against them and you will get results as well.

We had a all kind of party ruled past in Gujarat, but no one did anything good about state, but yes NaMo did it and prove it himself the best Minister every in Gujarat history.

Recently, Mother Earth Chidambaram has started targeting Modi regarding his lack of knowledge in History and Economics.

May be Modi had done a slip up or two as he has been doing a whirlwind tour of the country and attending rallies and give speeches by the dozen.

But for the ordinary voter, enough is enough with scholarship. We don't anymore need scholars from Harvard or London School of Economics, having seen how they have aided and abetted the loot of our national resources.

In a rally in Jammu, Modi has called for a discussion of Article 370, a creation of Nehru rule, giving special powers to J&K. Which means and according to Modi, while Omar Abdullah can continue to enjoy special privileges even if he marries someone outside the state, his sister Sara, who is married to Sachin Pilot has her rights curtailed. Like any other "outsider" i.e., Indian, she or Sachin Pilot cannot buy or own property in J&K.

Modi further says such special privileges had benefited only 40 to 50 families of the state during the last 50 years and the state is under developed.

Whether we like it or not a Kurukshetra seems slowly evolving.

Down south there is this news publication which calls itself itself "Hindu" and "National", but is in reality neither. This is another case of deception like the Nehru descendants calling themselves Gandhi for doing politics. Not surprising they hold similar views. Recently, just to sell a few more copies of their magazine Frontline, they have given advertisement accusing Sardar Patel who made India a nation, as "rabidly communal".

With 2014 general elections approaching and Modi going from strength to strength the anti-majority and anti-national forces are getting jittery and are shedding their "secular" masks to show their true "rabidly religious" color.
