anyway it takes only one rotten onion to spoil rest of onions and all kinds of fruits and make a stinking mess...which is what the current situation in India. Not a single clean politician.

As much as it is humorous, I believe onions prices are a major indicator of things to happen...in India.

Some Politicians behave dirty, some are currupt but have poker face, others have curruption written all over their persona inside/out. Sharad Pawar is the one falls in the third category. You look at him, and instantly know about his currupter. Oops! I meant character.
On the same note as others stated above, yes, Onion prices carry more weight than all the other issues combined. You can't have an Indian food without the use of onions primarily, unless it's Navratras for some. No Govt. can mess with the staple.

He is most corrupt but a shrewd politician. I hope he migrates here permanently. May be he will create employment opportunity for a person like me who has been stuck in labor job for years. He can immensely contribute to Canada's prosperity. In fact if He brings along MMS and the "dream team", it can change the fortunes of Canada like they did to India.
