My friend visited India for a couple of months and during the stay got flu that caused joint pains. Her diagnosis in India showed she did not have Dengue or chikungunya. She fought off the flue but the joint pains persist without change even after a month of being back in Canada. Medical Tests done here in Canada have shown nothing either. Practitioners have not been able to clearly identify what this is. If anybody has had the same experience and have had to deal with this situation, please get back to me asap.
Thanks for all your help

There are not many Doctors that know anything about the Tropical Disesases here in Canada. So, forget about these canucks who run a clinic. Ask your friend to use any pain killer that suits her taste and her pockets, then use it for a few days till it finishes and see if it has helped your friend.
And 50% Canadians either have it or acquired it here. They all blame it on the climate and our dressing habits.
Joint pains arthro + -algos, is a symptom of injury, infection, or illnesses (in particular arthritis) or an allergic reaction to medication.[3]
This condition is true only if it is non-inflammatory, and the term "Arthritis" should be used when the condition is Inflammatory.
Only a Doctor or a Joint Specialist can examine and assess the condition and prescrbe medications to relieve its pain.
It could be Blood related or it could be Bones and Joints related, Then again we have to learn to live with it. Some times we have this condition prevailing with in us and a debilitating illness will set it off or trigger the on set of this condition.
There are common cures, which we call pain killers and the cheapest one that everyone knows is Aspirin. It is Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs. (When there is no warmth in the joints or heat generated with in the joints)
The next one that we all know is Arhtritis. And in its classification, there are a hundred sub groups and when one enters that category or even uses that term, the watch list gets big and it involves serious considerations of its control and its treatment just to get by each and every day. The worst one is the degenerative one. So, never ever use this term unless it needs to be controlled each and every day with care and medicines.
So leave it at the minor stage of joint pain, if at all possible.
Aspirin is used on an occasiontional basis to releive the pain. But it gets into the blood stream through the stomach and hence needs an enteric coated one to safegard the path it takes, till it hits the stomach. (So, they cover it with a small coating of plastic material that melts away after it hits the stomach walls. This coating has no ill effect in humans, being a film)
There are a few on the shelf that are made to provide immediate relief with one half of the tablet and the second half is made to dissolve in a timed release that will last an additional 12 hours. It contains particles that are coated medium to heavy which after consuming dissolves as programmed to do so.
The above TWO are for occasional usage and are not habit forming.
