You did not specify your place of work or residence. It would be more expensive to stay in Toronto / GTA.

In general, it's not a bad offer. Your take home salary would be closer to $4500 - $5000. It can easily support a modest lifestyle. I am assuming the company will be providing you supplemental health insurance (for pharmacy, dental etc) and that your kid will be going to public school (i.e. no extra fees)

Thanks Ash for quick reply .
Place of work is Mississauga and Im planning to stay in Mississauga or Toronto .

As still offer is not finalize, They told me package cover health insurance (which will be covered in income tax).
Any idea, What is the standard component of a package a company offer ? As I don't have idea about what is required to be covered in salary package ?

Mississauga has plenty of apartment buildings. Rents would range from $800 - $2000 depending on the kind of building, location and amenities. You can check out some online. Mississsauga has a decent public transit system and is connected to Toronto by the GO transit and subway. If you get your apartment in a good location, you may avoid getting a car for a few months at least. Let me warn you that the car insurance will be very high especially for a new immigrant. The more you can wait getting a car, the better !

Typically, the following is covered by the companies

1) Supplemental health insurance (pharmacy and dental/vision) for you and family.
2) RRSP match (similar to EPF in India). getting rare nowadays but good to ask
3) Pension plan ... again very rare in private sector ... but good to ask.
4) Life Insurance coverage for you and spouse
5) Disability insurance

anything above and beyond is a bonus.

why dont you ask them for a summary of all benefits by email so that you have all the information.

let me know if you have any more questions.

OP,
Unless you are in IT, the offer is a spam offer.
We have lots of offers given by Canadian companies in India like holiday inn etc.. The broker will get a commission from you and disappear or they might be trying to file an immigration application from you for a hefty 'knowledge' fee.
Peace

Yes its a very very good offer. You will easily have a much better standard of living than your current standard and also save a lot on it.

In Misssissauga , you will have the following costs :

1. 2 bhk apartment on rent will be $ 1,000 to $ 1,200 per month.

2. Need not rent or lease a car . You can get a very good used car for about $ 3,000 to $ 5,000 .

Your monthly insurance to drive it will be around $ 200/month for third party liability insurance, no need to go for a comprehensive insurance as its a used car. Depending upon how much you drive , your gas (petrol ) cost will be around $ 100 - $ 200 per month ..again depends on your driving.

3. You can always take public transit , which is very good and a monthly pass in Mississauga will just cost you about $ 120 per month. Weekly passes & daily tickets are also available.

Its transferrable so others can also use it , when you are not using it . Child fare will be free for you as your kid is only 1 yr old.

4. School upto grade 12 is FREE for your kid so need not worry abt. it . Even after grade 12 , as a PR or Citizen , university education is much cheaper for your kid than for international students who come to study here.

5. Health care from Ontario government is Free after 3 months ( OHIP card ) . So need not worry about doctor fees , hospital fees etc ..its free medicare.

Plus your employer will have a drug plan which will cover most of your prescription drugs , dental and eye care ( specs , contact lenses etc ) for you and your family.

6. On just $ 200 per month ( provided you cook mostly at home and mostly eat Indian food ) , you can easily buy groceries for your entire family and eat very well on that :)

Remember to go the cheap grocery stores like No Frills , Freshco & Food Basics. They will also price match and ad match their competitor prices :)

7. For about $ 20/month you can get unlimited mobile ( cell phone ) from Wind Mobile . Or if you also want data ( unlimites internet on it ) ..it will be $ 40 / month ( unlimited talk , text , data )

http://shop.windmobile.ca/#__utma=1.1627334405.1375800922.1375800922.1375800922.1&__utmb=1.1.10.1375800922&__utmc=1&__utmx=-&__utmz=1.1375800922.1.1.utmcsr=google|utmccn=%28organic%29|utmcmd=organic|utmctr=%28not%20provided%29&__utmv=-&__utmk=54448680

8. You don't really need a cable TV , with just a home antenna you can get FREE 15-20 HDTV channels on your TV

9. For about $ 5,000 (one time cost ) you can furnish your entire apartment with beds , mattresses , sofa , curtains , dining table , coffee tables , TV , lap top , basic utensils , entertainment unit etc :)

So its not that expensive to live here , if you have a good job.
