Hello everyone,
I am Sumantra from Kolkata. I am a 2012 passout from Jadavpur university(electrical engg.).
Here is the synopsis of my profile-
1) HS score- 90%
2) B.E grade point 7.98/10.
3) work exp- 1yr+
I am appearing for GRE and TOEFL ( will be done within 20 OCT '13)
Now following are my queries:
a) What are my chances of getting a MS with Funding ( I am not expecting full scholarship)
b) chances of getting a job after MS.
c) Can I apply for integrated PHD?
d)What are the universities I should be looking for? ( If I can score 110+ in TOEFL).
e) Last but not least my considering GRE and TOEFL date will there be enough time to apply for the canadian Universities (fall '2014)?
Your kind comments are solicited.

I wil be short and brief to the point.
a) You will get MS here or any where, but the selection is done by each institution and by their board. Funding is first for the local residents and if there be any surplus, then there are a lot of others on the wait list who will beat you to it. All of this is true for Canada. In the U.S. the system may be slightly different, so pitch your efforts there.
b) The field you choose has to be linked to the jobs that are projected as in demand, currently. Hence the choice is yours to make and succeed in that field.
c) Yes you can, but the expenses you will incur are huge and finding a shuitable post after that becomes tedious. But there are always teaching jobs after that. So, see if it is what your ultimate goals are.
d) A hundred is all they look for. Alternately try to get into HARWARD.
e) Look for the deadlines from each of the Universities. Some close in November of this year for 2014 entry. GRE for Engineering and TOEFL for any other entry.
Here are a few links to Canadian Universities near by. Also look for my previous posts for suggestions to other suitable ones.

There are a lot of others you will like to explore, please see my previous posts.
Try and complete P.Eng. first, since you have an years experience in the field. And when you complete it, Immigrate into US or Canada. Then the expenses for your studies will be modest and you will have an easier life and a great start in your career.
In life you need a mentor and a guide. Find a suitable one also. Hope this will take you a lot farther in your life.
