Test cricketeer Sreesanth and two other players of Rajasthan Royals have been arrested for colluding with bookies and indulging "spot-fixing" i.e., bowl dollies and give away more than 10 or 15 runs in an over.
Looks like Sreesanth has not realised the implications of his action, when the sleuths say the betting is being controlled from across the border.
Somebody has to teach him that there is nexus between these bettings, narcoctics, terrorism etc.
When something like 26/11 occurs and terrorists gun down innocent people, a commando like Sandeep Unnikrishnan from Sreeshanth's home state of Kerala lays down his life fighting them.
Did Sreesanth not think about the supreme sacrifice of Sandeep?

First BCCI said that they are going to ban the trio for life, but later climbed down tha it was up to their respective IPL team to take action (RR in this case).
May be the perpetrators knew what they were up to and Board might also have skeletons to hide. The trio as shown in TV appeared nonchalant
The shorter versions of the game should have a blanket ban and only test cricket is to be played like earlier times.
In this IPL we saw Keiron Pollard of Mumbai Indians put down Mike Hussey of Super Kings 3 times in the first over. Catches which even high school juniors will easily take were put down many times during matches.
Quite a few times when more than 10 or 15 are required of the last over the bowler seemed to "oblige", by beginning with wide and 4 byes or with a no ball, drastically reducing the asking rate.
Bookies are getting arrested by the dozen in city after city. But only 3 players have indulged in this!!
Very painful to see such a wonderful and genleman's game upto the 70s has become gambler's and criminal's den.

CSK owner Srinivasan;s (who is also the BCCI president) son in law, gurunath Mayappan, is under the police scanner. Also Bollywood guy Vindoo Dara Singh was arrested. He has confessed that he bet on IPL matches and was in touch with the SIL of Srinivasan. Though there are big names in the scandal, police are under pressure not to look into them, just to get the small fishes.
Modi was right when he said recently that the real goon is sitting in Chennai. No need to guess who that goon is.
First of all - those who consider IPL and T20 as 'cricket' should understand that this is only a business of 'scripted' reality show being played out in the open stadium (instead of the highly decorated Big Boss house). DO NOT get emotional about any player or team - they are only playing the part they have been paid for.

Betting king Dinesh Kalgi tells CNN IBN that spot-fixing happened in 15 matches in the ongoing IPL. "Not just players, sponsors, selection committees are involved. Bollywood is also involved, but they will never be caught. Only the small fish get caught. Spot-fixing happens in London and is provided back-up in Dubai," he says. The Delhi police has uncovered only a small, amateur group. They did not know how to do it and therefore got caught.
Kalgi is one of the biggest bookies in Gujarat
All these news items, supposed leakage of information and name dropping is part of a bigger picture which involves a lot of politics, powerplay and shady businesses. The kingpins are already well known and hold top positions in BCCI and ICC. If you cannot see the picture, time to check your 'vision'.
Just enjoy it for its entertainment value, DO NOT invest in anyways - time money or emotions.
God bless.

Strange that the "betting king" lives and operates from Gujarat
