Is it even worth going through OCI process since there is visa on arrival for Canadians starting soon?

Wished to ask something - in case we are self employed (incorporated ) , what should we put in the section where it asks for 'Employer Details & Address ' ?

Can we put 'Self Employed' or should we put the name & address of the Incorporation ?

Visa on arrival just gives you a visitor's privilege - however for maintaining bank accounts or assets in India , is it not beneficial to have an OCI ?

We visited BLS last Saturday and filed in the OCI application .. There was a long queue but making an online appointment before hand gets you right to the front of the queue .

After filing the lady advised me the following :

a. The original submitted would be received by courier with in 10 business days along with a form which shall mention a website address and an application id ( I assume this is the acknowledgement) ..

b. After a few days the on-line status of the Application on the website would have a date . which is the processing date by CGI Toronto .

c. Once we see this date showing up (initially there will be no value for this field) , we can make an appointment and visit BLS to submit the original Canadian Passports along with the acknowledgement received and on-line application status (date printed ) .

She mentioned that the total process should take 8-12 weeks.

Q- can you make an on-line booking 2 months in advance ..I thought it allowed you only for next 7 days ?
