Hi Guys,

What is the best way to invest $10K to $15K? (No extra room in RRSP)

I am looking for your views for different options.

Prepayment of mortgage saves 3.5 %
TFSA GIC returns 2 to 2.5%
NRE deposit returns 8 to 9% (Currency conversion will be extra cost)

What do you think about currency exchange rate for next 2 or 3 years?
Do you think it is worth to invest in NRE deposit for 2 to 3 years?

Any other option?

NRE FD, is good (currently its at 9.25%), but you have your money in Rupees

You can also go for FCNR, which gives you a relatively high interest (yield of 5.39% over 5yrs) & money stays in your own currency. Check this. https://www.sbi.co.in/user.htm

Converting CAD to AUD may be good idea.

Any comment on this? OR other options?
