Hello, never thought I will be doing this, but then there's always the first time. Okay, here it goes: We came to Canada in 2009 and settled down in Mississauga. After the initial hectic schedules of settling down in jobs, buying car, house, we are now begining to enjoy life in Canada and looking to make friends and socialize. We are in the mid 40s with two school going children (12&16), originally from Chandigarh/Delhi. We left behind some amazing friends in India and are hoping to make new ones here in our age group. I don't want to be rude but I would prefer you not contacting us if you are aiming to promote your business to us. We are only looking for friendship with families around the GTA. In the past, many such postings came on CD, but I did not see any friendship / gettogether happening in general.
Desi's are always very skeptical.
However, I would be more than glad if you get good friends through CD.

TK, I beg to differ. How could you forget the time when we had Holi celebrations at my place.
There are quite a few CD's who are constatntly in touch with each other.
Unfortunately I'm in the other end of town else would have responded to the OP

Very true Dazzle. When we come to a new country without any family/friend support, we long to make new friends.
I have sent you an email with my family details. I would also encourage others to come forward and create a close network of friends. We could meet during weekends/holidays and chill out in this wonderful country.
I have two teenagers and would love to mingle with other families with teenagers - at least we will then be on the same wavelength .....!! ;-)
