Shobha Karandlaje to be sacked for taking on CM
BANGALORE: Karnataka's BJP leadership on Saturday decided to sack energy minister Shobha Karandlaje from the cabinet for taking on chief minister Jagadish Shettar on the increasing number of rapes in the state, a senior party official said.
"The CM has told Shobha if she wants to speak against the government, she's free to do so after resigning from the cabinet. If she wants to go public, like she did with the letter she wrote to Shettar on the abuse of women, she's free to do so after resigning. She'll be sacked from the cabinet,'' the BJP office-bearer said after the chintan baithak (brain-storming session) here.
Reacting to this ultimatum, Shobha told TOI: "So far, I've raised the issue of safety for women twice. I don't mind speaking up for women a 100 times. Let the government first say what measures it has taken to make women feel secure. Regarding my resignation, it's left to the CM.''
Shobha wrote a letter to the CM recently and wanted to know what measures the state government has taken to crack down on crimes against women. Citing the statistic of 15 rapes in two months in Shettar's home district Dharwad at the top of the list in the state, she also suggested measures to provide security for women.
The BJP was embarrassed and angered by her questioning and didn't invite her for the brain-storming session. Barring Shobha, all ministers in the Shettar cabinet were invited. Sources said besides sacking her, two vacancies in the cabinet caused by resignations of two ministers -- Sunil Vallyapure and B J Puttaswamy -- would be filled in the next few days.
The BJP core team comprising Shettar, BJP president KS Eshwarappa, deputy CM R Ashoka, former CM DV Sadananda Gowda, national leaders M Venkaiah Naidu, Dharmendra Pradhan, HN Ananth Kumar, MP Prahalad Joshi, party's organizing secretary Santhosh reportedly decided to drop Shobha. The party at its meeting held in New Delhi in December last had moved a similar proposal, but didn't implement it.
BJP spokesperson Prahlad Joshi said ministers who openly hob-nob with other political parties will be sacked.

If the rascals of Kangress cheering womanizer N.D. Tiwari cannot protect women, then they should have decency to admit and advise girls to follow Ramsene dictat so that they are at least safe.

RSS chief Bhagwat says wife bound to look after home
Close on the heels of many politically incorrect statements from across the political spectrum on women and rapes, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat courted controversy yet again.
Bhagwat's second controversial statement comes within days of his saying that rapes occurred in 'India' and not in 'Bharat'
He stoked the fire again in Indore by saying that marriage is a "social contract" where the wife is supposed to look after household chores and the husband expected to earn.
He also said that marriage could be called off in case either violated this contract.
RSS leader Ram Madhav said Bhagwat had been misquoted.
"He (Bhagwat) said that the western marriage system is contractual and many social scientists also agree that the western marriage system is contractual. The Indian marriage system is a sacred concept where women have a lot of respect and men have certain obligations," Madhav said.
"He did not say that the Indian marriage system was a contract."
Brinda Karat of CPM said the comments are derogatory to women.
"When these (RSS) people talk about 'Hindu Rashtra' and 'Hindutva', it's based on this highly casteist, patriarchal framework and that is why I think what the RSS spokesmen are saying reflect their inner thoughts. They believe women are subordinate to men and women are appendages to men," she said

Well, I too did not expect any different response from you. For me, it is easy to predict a "liberal mind". All the liberal minded can do is borrow, copy/paste some words from Obama and his ilks. The moment someone challenges your thinking process, you guys go on those monologue and shiitty phrases from shitty liberals. You guys cannot be specific nor be fair or honest. I believe that you have to be a morally corrupt guy to be a kind of liberal that you pose. The reason, at least for me, is very simple. Unless you can cheat your conscious, you cannot justify MMS/Sonia. So the first step is to play games with your conscious. Once you have fooled the inner conscious, the rest comes naturally. Then you can put Kangress and BJP on the same footing, then you can blank out your mind so that it stops processing. I can easily put you at par with MMS, who has sold out his conscious and whenever asked, reads the script on TV, serves an uneducated woman as her personal Chaprasi.
Look at you. Instead of addressing the real concerns raised by me, for example of , failure to provide any semblance of security to the innocent girls/women in Delhi, Assam, U.P. , Bihar and other rogue states, liberals go on TV cursing other Indians. One reason for the economic and hence social success of Gujarat is that people from the majority religion can practice their religion without fear. They do not have to crawl on all fours to prove their secular credentials. But for Congressmen because of their greed for power and money crawling before Sonia Gandhi family is a daily routine. They expect the same from 80% of India's population living in India to garner minority votes.
But wonder why some people living in Canada should also have to do the same.
