Facebook Inc priced its initial public offering at $38 (U.S.) per share, valuing the world’s largest social network at more than $100-billion.

At that price, the offering would raise as much as $18.4-billion for the company and existing shareholders.

Did any one applied for this overhyped and over valued IPO ?

Never.

Facebook is just a worthless piece and a big hype. I haven't met anyone yet who has ever bought anything off the Facebook. In my opinion, what Facebook is and isn't:

Is:
A glorified photo sharing site
A slightly big brother of Twitter

..as hard as I thought, I came up with only the two above

Isn't:
An online marketplace (on the lines of eBay, Craigslist, Amazon, etc.)
A search engine
A dating portal
A blog
A news site
A comprehensive portal

So, as you can see my list if 'isn't' is longer than the 'Is'. Why would someone buy a $38 worth(less) of share when it doesn't even provide any real service; but merely and primarily relies upon the photo-sharing services.

I wonder why it hasn't met the same fate as My Space yet. One word - hype!
