I'm observing India in the field of petrochemicals, chemicals and related downstream products.
Spectacular growth in investment in India in particular into Gujarat.
To name a few are entry of Solvay is acquiring Indian companies like peanuts.

They are buying up companies allover the world including USA.
I can list so many new product design centers, R&D centers all emerging in Bangalore, Pune and Gujarat.
The other important thing I find is most of the indian HR professionals do not want to be employed they are all have become head hunters.
Every company I knew as a start up now is part of a global giant.

Times have changed very fast. India's spectacular growth is clearly visible now. This coupled with inflow of foreign reserve will make India into the great fame it once had before 16th century..
Recently, India has barred its airlines from complying with European Union Carbon Tax scheme (it was a robbery in the first place).
No amount of spectacular growth will bring
1. non stop flow of water in Indian homes.
2. uninterrupeted supply of electricity.
3. clean neighbourhood and public places
4. teach the manners of driving on roads.
5. stop corruption in day to day life.
6. stop adultration in food items.
7. stop the stink at railway stations.
8. stop Indians throwing garbage everywhere.
9. finish 3.2 crores court cases.
10. stop people killing girl child.
11. free health care
12. clean public tiolets etc etc
The whole life in India runs on "jugad". It is a heaven for people who believe in disorderly life. Nothing has changed and nothing will ever change. It is myth that india has some fame in 16th century, majority of the Indians were living in poverity even at that time and the rulers were enjoying.

Looks like imate 2 is living in India of the 1800's.
But anyways very good post from imate2. It will stop Desi Canadians from coming to India and taking away jobs for Indians.

THAT is a great post, very well summed up. Your "jugad" comment hit bulls-eye dead centre.
This is a one-sided view and ignores the positives in India, but I could not refute any of the points you raised. And a lot of these matters keep getting worse with the "spectacular" progress.
