PROGRAM MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees programs / projects to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established
specifications, schedules, and budgets; coordinates interdepartmental functions in order to minimize delays;
meets with program team members on a regular basis to ensure targets are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Customer support in all aspects of new Product Development, design changes and problem resolution.
? Provide technical support to the organization including sales
? Support the RFQ process: DFM, GD&T review - present concepts and determine manufacturable
tolerances
? Engineering change process; work with customers engineering on design changes / solutions, cost
estimators, plant personnel, bank builds and breakpoints to ensure timely change.
? Engineering and APQP Customer Liaison
? Ensure engineering related tasks such as finalized math data, drawings, DFM, GD&T, tolerance review,
DFMEA, Design validation plans, testing and engineering approvals are completed on time
? Ensure any internal project delays get resolved in order to meet the customers timing.
? Facilitate & enforce the APQP process on new and existing products, ensuring all timelines are met
? Create, update and maintain project time lines
? Present program timelines during the APQP or PDT meetings
? Open Issues List; Initiate, maintain, and track open issues to ensure resolution in a timely manner
? Submit and obtain sign-off or approvals from customer when required.
? Conduct design reviews to ensure customer product quality and reliability requirements can be met.
? Provide engineering expertise for projects progressing through the manufacturing and installation.
? Creation, submission and obtain approval of ADV plans including validation sign-off
? PPAP: Obtain approvals for Pre-Grain, Post-Grain & AAR submissions
? Ensure programs/projects are completed within budget
? Support the sales function of the company
? Any other duties as required or assigned by the immediate supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:
? Minimum 5 years automotive project management related experience or College Diploma / Degree in
Mechanical Engineering.
? Minimum 5 years of injection molding mechanical design engineering experience.
? Working knowledge of: GD&T, Unigraphics and Quality System: TS 16949 & PPAP.
? Team builder, Creative project management and problem solving techniques
? Excellent documentation & organizational skills; strong technical presentation skills.
? Excellent communication and leadership skills
? Excellent computer skills including MS Office suite and Project Management related software

Eaton Corporation's Electrical Services & Systems' Project Operations business unit has an opening for a Project Manager in British Columbia or Alberta

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is responsible for the use of modern project management tools and techniques to execute projects related to the engineering, procurement, and construction of electrical power system modifications. Modernization projects will relate to the electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution industry with specific focus on hydro electric and industrial power systems. The Project Manager will use his/her knowledge of industrial and utility power distribution equipment, power system engineering, substation design, & construction safety to deliver projects with a high degree of professionalism and safety. The Project Manager will have full responsibility of project and authority to complete his/her assigned project from inception to scope development, planning, execution, management of people and resources. He or she will have the discipline to create clear and achievable cost, quality, and schedule objectives and follow these objectives through to successful completion.

The Project Manager will also provide technical leadership to the district sales & service teams.

Position Criteria:

Capable of self-managing and directing a team on awarded projects for electrical equipment, including working knowledge of electrical substation design & installation.

Strong experience with electrical equipment including: transformers, oil circuit breakers, power circuit breakers, SF6 gas circuit breakers, metal-clad and enclosed switchgear, protective relaying, power cable, substation equipment, motor control centers, medium voltage control, excitation equipment, automatic transfer switches, rotating equipment and AC drives.

Strong focus on customer satisfaction and a track record of successful project execution experience to deliver technical solutions to customers.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Working knowledge and experience in construction management and safety - Cost tracking and financial awareness - Experience managing multiple sub-trades - Design

Working knowledge of MS Project

Ability to be flexible to adjust to changing project conditions.

Strong computer skills are required.

Ability to travel up to 50% to support projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering

PMP certification

Please note relocation is not included with this position. Only local candidates will be considered.

Basic Qualifications:

CET or Diploma required

10 years experience in project management and electrical construction industry in engineering, procurement, and installation

Valid Drivers License

Ability to travel to the US as needed
