Is it a good or bad idea to deliver the child outside Canada?

Since this is my first posting I would like to thank all the members for making this site so useful, especially to all of them who are posting Questions and who are replaying them with satisfactory and proper answers.
Like many of others I have got my PR card and am back to Dubai with my wife.
We are expecting our first child in November and I have no plans to go back to Canada before that.
Every one prefers to have their child born in Canada so that he/she can get a Canadian citizenship by birth. But since we don’t have anyone in Canada and I cannot leave my job so soon I can’t send my wife alone and take any risk.
My Questions are: -
Is it a good or bad idea to deliver the child outside Canada?
What will be a status of newborn baby if we r on PR status?
What should we do after birth to register or get a pr card for newborn baby?

If you posted a question on a FREE forum and are angry because nobody answered it in few hours, you may want to get yourself checked up.

Whatever gave you this impression? I am a citizen and I was not born here as are many many people here. There is no difference between a citizen "by birth" and adopted citizenship.

No comments. It is equally good or bad. However I fail to comprehend what could be "bad" in delivering a baby anywhere because the baby is coming...like it or not!

I am not too sure.Maybe Mr Massood or someone will know better. Possibly you will have to apply for his/her's visa too. Just as you would have to if you had the baby before getting your PR status. But then again, I maybe wrong.
If you are intending to come to Canada, then eventually the baby will also get citizenship in due time. I do not really understand your cause of concern.

I think you have no benefit if your child is born in Canada if you have not got your Canadian citizenship. Unlike the US , your child will get Canadian citizenship along with you .For a PR holder the child born in Canada will get Citizenship along with parents. The rule is the same as that in the UK .
I ALSO AGREE, COME ON YOU NEED NOT PLAN TOO THIS EXTENT, HAVE THE CHILD IN THE MOST COMFERTABLE PLACE WHARE YOUR WIFE WILL BE SECURE AND HAPPY .

When does a child born in the following cases get Citizenship. Also is it automatic or has to be applied separately ?
a. Child born 2 PR parent in Canada delivered in Canada.
b. Child born 2 PR parents delivered out of Canada.
c. Child born 2 Canadian PRs delivered in the US .(which citizenship in this case??)

Some info that I have..
I had a colleague of mine who was from Egypt. He was ona student Visa. Hiw wife delivered a baby daughter 2 years back..and the baby girl has obtained Canadian Citizenship and a passport of her own ...
Mind you the parents are neither PR or Citizens... As Egypt recognizes Dual citizenship, she has Egyptian citizenship also.
