Whether it is simple traffic rule violation or death by hanging of Kasab or Rajonna, people do not like the rule of law. Then they have to face the consequences.
But things will definitely change. Those who immigrated to Canada in the 90s never expected so much to happen in India. Around 2002 had I invested the money that I spent in that failed mission (immigration), I would have had a piece of land in Chennai, which will be selling at minimum 10 times the value.
Regarding power cuts, suspect that it is drama to inaugurate Koodankulam. Also, it may be a ploy to show the previous regime in bad light. CM has assured the cuts will ease from June this year.

Ramar:
I can relate with you.
In 2001, Salma Construction were selling their newly constructed apartments near Kodambakkam Bridge in Chennai for Rs. 300 per sq. ft.. Now in 2012, the rate is around Rs.8000 to Rs. 9000 a sq. ft. in that area.
I had a savings of Rs. 4 lakhs in liquid cash in 2001, but I invested it in Canada immigration.
After 9 years of hard work with low wages in Canada, I can get around $ 178 per month in pension after I turn 65 as well as available for OAS supplement when I turn 67.
Peace

Any point of time, People make decisions thinking that they are best. Only time will tell the difference weather the decision was goo or bad. You guys thought is is best to come to Canada hence you came after spending so much money. Time passed ... you thought it is good to go back .... you went. Time will pass .... and then you will know weather it was a good decision or bad.
There is no point in thinking of lost opportunities. We need to move on and make decisions basing on own and others experience.
Good point Gurram ! We will try to keep it in mind.

To top it all, I heard that electricity rates in TN have been increased by 37% recently but it is still one of the lowest power tarriff's in India. Count that on politics and increasing the politician vote bank.

Well Raj,
I though that with such a good picture of canada that people are portraying (I myself know that canada is a very good place for the lower class of people like people with low level jobs like a receptionist, Welder, mason etc..) I thought I will send them all to canada.
karnataka people donot like tamils because of the cavery water issue and similar the Keralaites donot appriciate tamils due to the Mullai periyar issue. A CD also does not like another CD but atleast the law of the land is good over there in Canada.
I agree that India is a huge market but the population is also that much and people are very much in competetion for jobs (cut throat) so I am not in favour of people to be in India.
