Hi friends,
Has any CD ever experienced this issue of stolen number plates, please share your experiences, I have to deal with that .

I have already informed the police.

Other than that what are the implications I have to face.

Sorry about that.
I donot think that once you have informed the police, you have anything to worry as your number plates are now listed as stolen and no one might dare to use them except in a getaway car, a few hours after it was stolen from you.
Looks like mischief makers did this.
You can update us of any developments.

It will be a good idea to inform MTO as well besides police .

Peacock Ji: It is highly unusual to see license plates stolen. can you please give some details on how this happened to help us provide more insights?

a) Did this take place overnight?
b) was your car parked in front of your home or in a high crime area?
c) was your license plate a personalized plate?

It seems scary. Sorry about the loss.
On the lighter note.....
Just keep looking at licence plates of all the vehicles you come across...just in case if you see a vehicle with your number plate you won a lottery..that vehicle is officially yours, just get into the vehicle and drive off.........but be careful to look the other occupants of the vehicle that time..and of course at the stuff the vehicle may have.

Thanks for the input,
I am going to the MTO to apply for duplicate plates, however, I am trying to estimate AS TO WHAT FUTURE SHOCKS I MAY HAVE TO FACE AS A CONSEQUENCE TO THIS, AND HOW CAN I GUARD MYSELF AGAINST IT.

I am still trying to figure out when exactly did the loss occur, however I realised , on saturday , when trying to open my trunk to load my groceries.

Consequences could be parking ticket, red light camera ticket, crime scene, 407 ETR bill, etc. I think you should be fine if you have informed police and MTO.
