QUALITY ENGINEER

Our client - a very successful and long established high volume automotive parts supplier with a global presence - requires an ambitious Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years QE experience in automotive parts manufacturing. Key responsibilities of this position include:


•Ensure company health, environmental and quality policies & procedures are carried out in accordance with appropriate federal and provincial statutory regulations.
•Oversee and direct the quality activities of designated projects.
•Participate in APQP activities for designated projects.
•Develop and maintain control plans for designated projects.
•Coordinate and approve PPAP activities (Internal and supplier)
•Participate in resolution of customer issues.
•Assist suppliers with quality issues.
•Interface with the customer.
•Perform other duties as assigned
•Root cause analysis of customer rejects
•Cost of quality analysis and reduction
•Process and quality system audits
•Quality training of associates
•Active member of quality committee

Key Qualifications:

•Minimum 2 years QE experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
•Positive attitude, results-oriented and ability to multitask.
- Effective written and verbal communications with people at all levels of the organization;
- Ability to "take charge" in a fast paced environment to accomplish multiple goals;
- Ability to audit manufacturing processes within quality system;
- Ability to complete assignment with minimal supervision;
- Ability to determine root causes of defective product, prepare and implement action plans to rectify the concerns;
- Experience supervising team members;
- Working knowledge of GD&T
