samna1978 - Mine was Jan 30th and approved/sent to New Delhi. How do you check your Status? UCI, Receipt # ( Original )
Have you tried to check with mothers name and UCI ( Universal Client Identifier ) - you will find this if the visit visa was extended

Today, my application status has been changed as the following:

Sponsorship Application Status: Decision Made
Details(Upon clicking on the said status): We received your application to sponsor <Parent's Name> on November 13, 2008.
We sent you a letter on April 5, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Permanent Residence Application Status: Application Received
Details(Upon clicking on the said status): None
=======================================================================
I haven't received the letter mentioned above yet, but a little wary of what it may contain.
Any idea, given the above particulars?

That letter will say your file has moved to ottawa. I am on same page with you.

that means CIC made decision on your file and you will recieved letter from them with Decision, either file has been approved or not? same letter will tell you that which place your file trasferred too.
cross the fingure, hope your file trasfering to Ottawa instead of India, b'cos in India nobody have an idea that how long does it take to clear the file?

Just FYI - My parents' file has been transferred to Ottawa. As my parents are still here on visitor visa and going back in September, I hope CIC guys only ask for PCCs, medicals, etc. once they are back in India.
Let's wait and watch.

Just a quick confirmation, so far ( ecas, approval letter ) - my mothers name doesn't appear at all ( just my fathers ). Is this with everyone? coz I paid for both

Mine is same, only Father's name and e-case shows decision made.
stiil waiting for reply from CIC -New delhi for time frame in India.
please update the post once have some latest information.
