In continuation of adhering to the truth only policy while the nay Sayers discredit this as a minor event there is more information from GTA area.

Long live TK who has spoken the truth and nothing but the truth in this very site.

May he find peace in a Gods own country.

Bell Canada call center has laid off about 1300 perons from their Mississauga call center.

A company serving Toronto Hydro laid off 300 people recently.

The city of Toronto is poised to layoff many as a part of cost cutting.

The city of Mississauaga will run a deficit of about 400million after running nil deficit for a few decades and the property tax might rise by 7%.

We at CD take this opportunity to welcome more immigrants.

Happy New Year.

Thousands of jobs have been lost since 2009 in GTA. Some of them has been replaced by temps and part time jobs. More interestingly it is even tough for the University graduates from Canada to find a proper job. This is an interesting article to read http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/economy/economy-lab/daily-mix/is-a-university-degree-still-key-to-finding-a-good-job/article2297501/ " target="_blank">LINK

Welcome to the new Canada.
Also add the hundreds of jobs laid off at RIM at Waterloo. The Indians desi’s were paid like $ 18.5 an hour just to monitor blackberry automated assembly. Most did not know English and had good and free breakfast served by RIM.
The USA situation is catching up in Canada while the population is increasing. When I was in Canada, I always found Gora’s with atleast 2 or 3 young children. Contrary to the statement that there were too many seniors in Canada, I did not find many.,
India will go great guns for atleast 10 more years with this situation. Even in India now, we are only barely scratching the potential with new projects being planned. India does not have the technical manpower of people who do jobs. Just in my firm, we provid
• All statutory holidays.
• Monday to Friday (I alone work on Saturday)
• 12 days sick leave (No MC needed)
• 24 days paid leave (all holidays excluded)
I have seen my collegues take 10 days off every 3 months + they report sick on many Fridays and Mondays.

On the heels of this, I read in the Torstar that GTA house prices are set to increase in 2012, many thanks to the gullible immigrants migrating.

Jai Jakkamma !
Hail Vandemataram !
Hail Canada

Regards,

Peace

Just out of interest, I like to see how you're bashing India left and right in an imaginary website desicanadian.com

JRF: There is a popular saying in our language which loosely translates as 'Even if you run away to Rameshwar, the shanieshwar(bad luck) will not stop following you'.

Seriously, TK spends more time in India tracking what's wrong, what's going wrong, and what will go wrong in Canada.

TK wants Canada to miss him more than he misses Canada. :p

From a other forum, I read that Bell Canada layoff is to avoid a Union formation. Bell is opening call center in Montreal and Vancouver.

Toronto city didn't approved adding 5% to hydro bill. This company is supposed to work on aging Hydro infrastructure. They got fired since the bill didn't get approval.

Contracts for about 32000 city of Toronto workers expired recently. City is planning to privatize some of those services and hence this lay-off. If they are contract workers, We should call it as contract expiration rather lay-off.

Above three lay-offs doesn't reflect much about economy. It looks like a company/org routine business. If any CDs work in these places, They can provide correct info.

Flash news:

280 security screeners laid off by Garda at airport.

The union now says that they are going to check each and every bag.

Prepare for long wait times.
