first and foremost be positive and bold. Get panicky will make u nervous and u wl make mistakes. When u r abroad, we all face this problem. During my second pregnancy, I had vomitting problem for 9 mnths and I had one 5 years old who was going to school. I was told to take bed rest. Imagine, How I must hv managed cooking, going to doctors alone. My hubby was busy with his job which was target oriented and couldn't take leave. There is a saying God help those who don't hv anybody.
There are students who wl help u with snow removal at very less cost. I wish I was there to help you. I remember when neighbour was pregnant, she had varicose vein problem so couldn't stand for long. I helped her by picking her son frm bus stop and reaching him home for almost one year. God is great, when I was pregnant, some other lady offered to pick my son and help.
look around for people who offer to help with shopping. There are still lots of people who offers help.

We came to enjoy; we are being enjoyed. We came to rule; we are being ruled. We came to work; we are being worked. All the time, we find that. And this comes into every detail of our life.
There are several circumstances that could cause a single parent situation. I am a married single parent right now. Me and my wife live 750 km apart. My 5 yr old lives with me and has been for several months as my wife had to travel on business frequently. Pretty soon, my wife will have our son as I have to travel on business.
As indocanadian1 pointed out, stressing over it will lead to fewer solutions. If you are financially able, you should outsource shoveling and mowing and maybe child care (to certain extent). If you live in a neighborhood with teen kids, they usually are more than happy to do the mowing and shoveling for a nominal price.

Now I'm just looking for some snow removal contractors who can clean up the snow in my walkway whenever it snows ......i guess we cannot predict the weather in Calgary and he must be there whenever it does snow to clear it upto my door so i can move out in an emergency. I'm looking in the area of Whitehorn, calgary , any help or advise is welcome .
Thank you again everyone (( group hug ))
I suggest you start by asking the landlord when you look at a place to rent if he or she knows of anyone who you could hire to do the shoveling. Next I would ask the neighbours. Don't be shy just go over to introduce yourself, explain that your husband is working abroad (clearly you see some people are very worried about single mothers) and ask if they know anyone in the area who might be interested in a small job shoveling your snow. I found my cleaning lady this way.

My prayer to you
Is that you do all the things you set out to do
And live your life the way you love

Hi all,
One of my friend a Canadian Citizen got a very good offer in US (150K+ offer).
However his job involves a lot of travel across US cities.
He is planning to keep in wife and kids in Canada and make her claim benefits as a Single mom.
Is that possible?
I know its very common for people claim single mother benefits while spouses work in the middle east and pay zero tax to Canadian government.
What precautions should be taken to do this legally
