Dear Friends,
Greetings,

A number of forum members have immigrated from the Middle East. It would be interesting to know views/comments on the following:

1.How does Canada compare to the ME, both in the good and bad.(Although comparisons would be unfair, yet it would give a valuable insight.)

3.From members who immigrated from other parts of the world, it would be wonderful to know their observations as to how easy or difficult it is for immigrants from ME in adjusting to the North American system.

Hi,
my exerience is that
Canada has too much taxes.....ME has indirect taxes
people are equal in Canada...the spread between earnings of people is less than in the ME.
People respect each other in Canada
You can be an owner of property in Canada, not in ME
Canada system is based on Wife and Husband both working to lead a normal life....when kids grow up (16-18) they also have to start earning or the quality of living will drop for the whole family
You can do two - three jobs per week in Canada......ME allows you to do only one job and that is what visa you are on.
Canada provides small business oppurtunities and the system is quite fair...not like ME
You can save a lot of Money in ME.......Five years in a good job can provide you an option to retire for your life and go back home (although such jobs are rare)
Visiting your home country from Canada is expensive......ME is cheaper and less time involved.
You earn more and spend more in Canada......You earn more and save more in ME
Your career goes down to the ditch in the ME (except if the company is giving you regular trainings...and this is very very rare)
Cars, gas and insurance are dirt cheap in the ME as compared to CA
In Canada the rich support the poor in the form of taxes….In ME…..?????
ME has is worth living only if you are earning 3000 $ CAD or above
After 25 years of work in a company in ME….you can be given a 1 months notice to go out of the country…
And so on……..
Anyone there to add any comments…..

That says everything:) Being a Canadian you can easily earn C$7000 per month.

Secondly, you can save some money in ME out of very less earning but in Canada your savings are not anywhere if you compare with the ME even you are in the higher earning bracket .

In my opinion ME is the best place to live once you have Canadian citizenship.

Thanks and regards.

Raj

I wanted to say that a Canadian citizen ( regardless color) can easily earn C$ 7000.00 pm in the middle east. That is the lowest range I am talking about. This is the Only Salaray, may be you would like to include some other benefits too i.e. well furnished accomodation, annual paid vacation of 30 to 60 days with air tickest for your family, generous education assistance for kids, transportation allowance, full medical benefits ( including drugs), etc.

Thanks and regards.
