As far as Saudi goes, there is some government level issue going on between Saudi and canadian government which might be the real cause of the delay..
For most places including US, Europe and Australia , it will help u..

True. But these places are useless for Non IT people and hence your cdn. passport may not help as much.
All my friends in Libya got out safe. India offered FREE flights to India from Libya and most MNC's sponsered free flights out of Libya.
For Gulf (esp. Saudi) if your degree is from India and passport from Canada, it is a double whammy and not worth it as you have to wait excess of 4 to 6 months before you can join work. The bad decision is that I resigned my job in Canada once I got the Saudi appointment letter and thought that I will leave in 2 weeks. But reality was that even after 5 months, the visa was being processed.
Peace

TK, are you sure the delay was due to your Indian degrees and Cdn. passport? Did you ask them specifically why the delay was for? This doesn't sound realistic to me, at least.
To Febpreet :
Yes. For working in Gulf countries, having a Cdn. passport and an Indian degree is a double whammy !
You have to satisfy the conditions of Canada and India.
Conditions of Canada :
1. Medical
2. PCC
3. Employer reference / Experience certificate attested by the foreign ministry in Ottawa.
Conditions to be done in India:
1. Degree verification (Your original degree needs to be sent to India along with the work order original. takes min. 2 months)
2. Professional registration.
In the end, you need 4-6 months just to get the visa. Also the saudi authorities will call your office to verify your employement. If you have fought with your boss or created a fake exp. certificate, then it is a gamble.
In the end, it is very hard for a person with a cdn. passport and Indian degree to get into senior positions (Non IT) in Gulf countries and esp. in Saudi.
Peace

Folks, I posted this so someone interested can pursue by seeing it as an opportunity. I hope this does not degrade into another worthless anti-muslim immature tirade.
Kuwait or not, the Univ requires qualified individuals, qualifications that any well ranked University in US/Canada would require from its faculty.
Please stay focused. Thanks.
