This statement is in deed false and baseless -- please point to the RBI rule which abstains transfer of more than Rs 1 lacs per month ...... if you are aware of any such RBI rule that is ....

RBI guidelines for Money transfer service scheme ..... http://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/NotificationUser.aspx?Mode=0&Id=5774 and this is what Western Union follows .......

e) Payment to Beneficiaries

i) For payment to beneficiaries in Indian Rupees, the identification documents, as mentioned at SECTION-II, should be verified and a copy retained.

ii) A cap of USD 2500 has been placed on individual remittances under the scheme. Amounts up to Rs.50,000 may be paid in cash. Any amount exceeding this limit shall be paid only by means of cheque/D.D. /P.O., etc. or credited directly to the beneficiary's bank account. However, in exceptional circumstances, where the beneficiary is a foreign tourist, higher amounts may be disbursed in cash. Only 12 remittances can be received by a single individual during a calendar year

I assume it should be Canada wide but please confirm with CRA .. I was in NS when I claimed such deduction.

that means, what i am understanding that if wife and kids are away from you from Canada than you can claim their expenses in your tax deduction correct?:(

Honestly i don't know about this. so question is if in future if i am sending my wife and kids back home for let says for 6 month for vacation or some family reason than am i able to claim their all expenses or not? Like , food cost, living cost, air fare etc....i think this only for who doesn't have Canadian PR or citizen and they are completely dependent on you.

Bank transfer and Western Union are two different things. Banks tranfer the money into you account and Western Union and you can pick up cash from any location (upto 50,000 INR) .....

I have used Money gram to transfer money on many occassions,
You can send max up to 2500 CAD in one shot in one transfer, (including their fees)
I understand in the present scenario, there probably is no monitoring process in place to not allow you to repeat the process couple of time if needed.
