Dear all,
I am coming to Canada on the 18th of this month from US. In my landing papers, under remarks section, it says that I have shown C$25000 as available funds. Do I have to bring the entire amount or is it enough if I bring the minimum required (C$12000 for family of two) and show the rest in bank statement. Please advice.
Regards
Thats ok.
Cheers
Raj

Hi,
Had a qn for Aparna. How long did you take to receive the PR card and SIN No. and if you have returned back did the Canadian folks athe border demand a travel paper or something or your PR card. Also, did the US customs or immigration ask about your visit to Canada.
I am going to be in the situation fo returning back to US, so please suggest.
Thanks so much in anticipation.

Speaking of bringing cash, (in addition to settlement funds) for day-to-day expenses, is it ok to use Credit cards from USA?
That way one can spend, and pay off credit cards online.
Is there a drawback to doing that? Like would the credit cards charge extra for converting Canadian Dollar to USD?
