Hi,
Is it enough to show the apt owner my offer letter to prove that i will be able to pay the rent or is it necessary to show the bank balance. I have rent amt for few months only. I will be renting one bedroom apt for me and my wife in mississauga. Can anybody throw some light on how this works.

Well I don’t think that they have any authority to check your bank balance. Though they can check your credit history or if you are new they may contact your employer to confirm your earnings.

I think if you offer letter also has something about your pay, that should be sufficient in my view.
