New high in Gold
Gold is expected to touch 1550-1600 per OZ before it really shows any major correction, pls share your views

Last two weeks, gold price is down by 100 $ and correcting, presently at 1346 $. Let us see if it picks up next week.

Last 2 weeks is the technical level reversal of the US Dollar, coupled with the Irish/Protuguese debt problem in Eurozone causing Euro to fall. This rise in USD is inverse to Gold.

We are expecting a major reversal upwards in Gold.

Gold at 1380 $ today. Started rising once again inspite of weak stock market in US.

Today is the Euro effect: Its falling like a rock.
Reason, after Ireland, now its the turn of Portugal & Spain. Portugal is smaller, but Spain is huge & the impact is shaking the currency markets. Keep in mind Gold/Silver is money (or a hedge against paper currency).

I do not think it is a perfect hedge.

Euro rises and gold rises too at times. I have seen Australian dollar and gold rises together too.

Euro, AUD: for currency traders its minute to minute craziness. My friend all currencies are tied to the US $, which has lost 97% of its value since 1913 (inception of Federal Reserve). There is ample data to prove this-
Here is the hedge, I am refering to

Euro Tumbles, Gold Squeeze Gets Vicious: Gold is rising alongwith a rising US dollar, & against all currencies.
