Can anyone please suggest?
As pr is granted for 5 years, what will happen if someone enters canada, complete formalities, take PR card, and go back, decide to come back say after 3 or 4 years, do not complete the minimum requirement of stay for citizenship. Will his pr gets renewed after 5 years or that person need to leave Canada? Is PR a renewable? Can any suggest? Thanks in advance.

To keep your status as a permanent resident, you must live in Canada for at least two years within a five-year period i.e minimum of 730 days physical presence in Canada at the 5-year mark.

Growing Old Is Mandatory ..Growing UP is Optional
Thanks for your reply AshwaniG.
But in case that person is living in Canada and by the end of 5 years, he is not even fulfilling the requirement of 700+ days for maintaining PR. Will he be asked to leave Canada?

He can be asked to leave Canada if they found out and his renewal application is not in the process.
Thanks Gurram,
Does this mean that PR application can be renewed even if a person fails to complete the minimum requirement of 720 days for maintaining PR status?
Please clarify.
