Is Arundhati Roy is so important? Or is she a decision maker for J&K? Is she representing whole of India? The answer for the three qns is a big NO.

Here is Guardian's take on this entire issue. I am surprised CBC hasn't addressed this issue yet.

Mumbai Maazi Ladki ...
She changed her religion for money. she is Muslim
Not only Roy, another notorious film director from Bollywood who had an illicit affair outside his marriage, to escape law and from the ire of his legal wife and his actress daughter, changed his religion to become muslim. He also a prominent member of the BD Brigade, would come on television shows to give solutions to Ayodhya issue, terrorist problems etc. What else, but to rue the fate of our country that national opinion gets molded on the thoughts of these dishonest people and that we have to live during such times.

GOI has decided not to file FIR on her and Geelani. Well what else they can do. Arrest her? There are millions of people in a particular community who believe J&K is not a part of India. Will GOI file cases against them? Imagine over a million sedition cases in courts across India. That would be a mockery of the Indian jostice system (its already a joke anyways).
OTOH, the interlocutors such as Dilip Padgaokar are talking to the people in that state. I dont see anything coming out of this mission.
