Sunny Leone a true Canadian DESI now back in India !.
He is good and musically VERY sound and excellent. However, on a flip side I have found him imitating a complete singing style of Ghulam Ali khan. In this age of competition a singer needs to be versatile and if he/she is aiming for bollywood then they should be able to translate their music acumen to a diverse music styles. In my opinion if I have to listen to Ghulam Ali then why should I go and buy Rajwada's album while I already know that I have what is known as Ghazal king's imitator, regardless of however musically sound he/she may be.
Unfortunately, I have seen far too many Ghazal singers who lost in the oblivion as they never offered anything new to this genre deprived fans. With the exception of Jagjit Singh, no one rose to the level as they all lacked originality.
Unless Rajwada come up with something new, I am afraid he will be yet another singing talent show's found and lost.
I once saw a singer called "Toshi" on Sa Re Ga Ma, who gave an excellent rendition of "Mera Piya Ghar Aaya" by NFAK. However, poor guy was eliminated, probably because of rustic voice, and some other guy with ordinary voice got selected, because he sang a very popular Rafi or Mukesh number.
It is sad to see so many artists getting sidetracked just because they do not seem to fit in the popular mold.

Another singing sensation is (Indian Idol 3 runner up) Amit Paul. He is also a great talent. Unfortunately not get much chances in Bollywood.

Ranjit Rajwada ... over hyped by SaReGaMaPa. They don't have that much talent as yester-years. They had to create some sensation.
As for Ghazal Singers - The bar set by Jagjit & Ghulam Ali is way too high & to an extenet Pankaj Udhas... Bhupinder, Roopkumar Rathod, Talat Aziz, Hariharan, Suresh Wadekar ... they all have tried with their own unique style. I am not saying they are not successful but they all had to create multiple paths as well rather than relying on Ghazals only.
I hope Ranjit Rajwada understands that poetry is very important for Ghazal singers - along with singing. In this age, he sure is different but still need to render some good original ghazals.
