He does need an air traffic control station to safely steer Mumbai airport's traffic clear of his towering monster :D

Hope he has washrooms everywhere. Nothing like climbing 20 storeys to the loo, eh? :D

Its his hard earned wealth and its his to use as he wishes but really there is something obscene about this kind of display of wealth in country where so many are starving.. probably very close to his house.

Well everyone is talking about the ostentatious display of wealth but no one talks about the contribution to the economy. If the project cost $1 B to build then that contributed to the local economy in the form of salaries of architects, planners, structural engineers, construction workers.....

If it requires 600 people to run...then that provides 600 jobs in a City which needs to feed its poor most of which will be from the local area.

If it houses 150 cars and 3 helicopters then the cars and helicopters will be brought from local dealers again pumping money into the economy

So rather than all that money sit in a Swiss Bank where it just earns interest, one must congratulate Mukesh for spending it and helping the economy.

I would rather have Mukesh build a 1 billion residence in India rather than Tata give 50 million to Harvard because the impact of the 1 billion is huge on the economy of India.

In fact I would encourage all the 100s of billionaires in India to build such residences and provide employment to 1000s of workers because thats called spreading the wealth instead of keeping in locked in FDs.

Haven't you heard India is a land of contradictions?

Newton:

How can you possibly be sure that Ambanis don't have an iota of black money in Swiss Banks, or they purchased the Choppers, Cars from within Bombay (or India) and not imported?

I agree with your comments on supporting local economy though.

But, who cares???
