House near Mavis & 401

can desi's give feedback on houses north of Mavis & 401, I see that it lying under the flightpath, how does this affect (like is the noise level intolerable?) and are there schools/stores nearby

Flight noise, yes an issue when the door / windows are open.
Otherwise, things are really good.

I live close by. One thing is sure that you will not hear the noise at night as there are no flights after 11. We are used to it now and hardly notice even during the day except twin engine planes which are really noisy something like four seaters in Delhi.

I just want to let you know that there could less noisy areas but Mavis and 401 is one of prime areas where property values never went down in last 6 years. Close to major Highways (401,403,407,410,427) and heartland town centre - one place shopping area with all stores (except Sears, Bay and Lowes). You name a store, it is there. 2 community centres and 2 liabraries are very close by.

Its a major bottleneck in terms of traffic, especially on weekends. Mavis is always crowded.
