I am Bachelor of Science in Physics from India. My husband is a civil Engineer with MTech from IITKanpur. The problem is now he has a part-time factory job but which is not of his field(civil engineering) with less salary(8$/hr).How are we family of 4 able to survive on 1 person's salary???So I heard from many people here that if you do any course from Govt recognized colleges or any co-op program you get a good job. This applies for my husband too.He is ready to upgrade his education as per Canadian curriculum but the program should guarantee a job or should atleast assisst in getting job earlier with proper mentoring.Thats why I am in search of a job of grocery stores or any which will atleast assisst in keeping one income of family ON while the other person is taking courses. For this reason I am in search of a mentor an INDIAN mentor who is ready to assisst me and help me in my situation as a new immigrant.

Have both of you done credential check of your education of India? Why dont your husband try for Ontario EIT (Engineer in Training) or may be PEng?

You did not say in which field your husband has worked.

Being civil engineer, if he has worked in construction industry, it is worth doing P Eng.

The employers here would like to see " P Eng " in adition to experience.

For getting P Eng, he has to apply and if he has more than 10 yrs experience after Bachelor degree, he will be called for interview and if he passes then there will be only exam in ethics.

There is good possibility to get certified and eventually get into good job.

please send me your and your husband's resume. If you join any course, you should have enough funds to survive for 6-12 months. If you have enough money to survive then, please go to college closer to your place and you will have counsellors who will guide you.
