I am attempting to understand your situation to see what specific advice to offer. First, are you working at all? is your husband looking for ajob?
what is your background?
Have both of you done credential check of your education of India? Why dont your husband try for Ontario EIT (Engineer in Training) or may be PEng?
You did not say in which field your husband has worked.
Being civil engineer, if he has worked in construction industry, it is worth doing P Eng.
The employers here would like to see " P Eng " in adition to experience.
For getting P Eng, he has to apply and if he has more than 10 yrs experience after Bachelor degree, he will be called for interview and if he passes then there will be only exam in ethics.
There is good possibility to get certified and eventually get into good job.
please send me your and your husband's resume. If you join any course, you should have enough funds to survive for 6-12 months. If you have enough money to survive then, please go to college closer to your place and you will have counsellors who will guide you.
