A good news indeed. Washington state is exempting sales tax for BC and Ontario residents. This is in response to HST which is forthcoming from July 1st. I am not sure how it would be fruitful for ON residents, except when they are visiting Vancouver. A welcome step if you're 'within limit of daily exemption from Canadian custom duty' like myself. As they say, big brother (US) is always a big brother.
So, if you're travelling to Washington state and buying the goods to be used in Canada (ON and BC) then you won't have to pay any sales tax. For lodging, restaurant meals, haircuts, etc. within WA the usual sales tax would apply.

A really good deed coming from neighbors when our own Govt. is taxing us to death. It will save a hell lot of money on my visits to WA. No more Oregon (no sales tax) dreams.
