I did not know that 5.6 million people in Canada (almost 17% of Canadian population) are idiots and have lost their mind by residing in GTA rather than migrating up or sideways in boonies. Sure it is fun residing in those scenic places with empty stomach and no roof on top. Clearly, there must be something wrong with the GTA residents - maybe they are lobotomised.

In a city with world-class flyover, it takes 3 hours to take a cab ride from Andheri to Borivali during non-rush hour period, and drivers with such excellent driving skills that you do not need to obey the lane restrictions to drive your 2/3/4 wheelers.

Pardon my rudeness and idiocy.

Bad driving habits are partially to blame for the congestion on 401 during rush hour in GTA. Maybe driving schools are not doing their job in teaching people about highway driving skills. Everyday I see trucks driving at less than 100 km/hr in middle lane or people cruising in left lane.

Even 407 has now become congested these days with all bad habits from 401 carried over to 407

hey Man, if you want to pay $450K + for a "3 bed room" doll house, then spend another $20K to upgrade it just so you get to live in the G. T. A, be my guest

The problem with people in Ontario is that they get ass r*ped everyday by the Govt, corporates, builders, heck pretty much everybody but they take it without a complaint.

Sure, blame everybody but the government cuz guess what, we elected it so if there is something wrong with the government, there is something wrong with us.

Or, there's an option. Pay $650,000 for a doll house in picturesque Vancouver, and then spend another $100,000 on upgrades. Get out of GTA as it's a horrible and scary city. Problem solved, eh?

Take it easy yaar. Problems are everywhere in all large cities. You can't have everything - a great public transit, world class highways, no traffic on those highways, and a $100,000 detached house. It's an ideal world which doesn't exist, unless otherwise you wish to live in a village (not the urban village). Doesn't matter which political party comes into power, things don't change. Unless there's a big visible revolution, things remain the same. So cool it and just like everyone else, take it in your stride. Or do something, which I do not know :).

Why get out? I have as much right to live here and complain about how ridiculous things are as you do to live here, get ass r*ped and actually be happy about it :D

The way I look at it, I am complaining cuz I know things can be better and hence want things to get better. You don't complaint cuz you know things can be worse and hope that they don't get worse. each to his own - that's democracy. or did you forget? :p
