Hii
Check with someone in Australia before moving over there. I heard there is much more racism in australia than in Canada.
Anybody else think that australia is a better option?

"The grass is not, in fact, always greener on the other side of the fence. Fences have nothing to do with it. The grass is greenest where it is watered. When crossing over fences, carry water with you and tend the grass wherever you may be"
Cannot throw any light on this. You have made up your mind about Australia, obviously after doing a study between both countries.
No comment. Good Luck.
racism is a cult and it is based on one's personal view of being superior than the other in any form. we bit*ch about other countries but our own country has a long history of "racism". don't let the racism intimidate you but fight it out even "physically" if u have to. however, check this site out:

and don't forget australia is another "anglais" land

I agree with the definition of racism given by guru. Going by this definition, I guess, we in india practice the worst form of racism be it on the basis of caste, religion or simply financial status of a person the underlying idea always being my community/caste/religion is superior than others .... and I dont think I need to elaborate further on that.
So, my friend dont worry about this racism thing. Focus on what you want to do in life and which country could help you the most to achieve that.
I have family in australia. So, if there is anything I can do to help you make a decision I will be more than happy.

Overal, they are similar places, with two big differences
1) Australia - Great weather
2) Canada - Chance to get in to USA
A guy from thailand I know told me he came to Canada only because of point (2), most of his friends went to the Land down under...

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

2) Canada - Chance to get in to USA
let us not have this fallacy of every canadian being able to live and work in usa, unless canada became the "5x" state after iraq becoming 52nd.
under the trade nafta program, only few catagories fall in where a canadian can work in usa and again on 1 year renewable visa. that is not the key to the "green card", in fact that will not be even counted towards green card application.
u can go and live there illegally and wait for some " il presidento" to declare a general amnesty, which could be 5 to 10 years. but all this time u r living as an illegal "alien" and certainly not working as a professional but a "sweatshop" hero.
