I always find it ironic that the people whose ancestor wrote a treatise on sex "Kamsutra" can be so hypocritic when it comes to sex. Perhaps the Victorian/Christian values imposed by us on British are to blame for such an attitude.

Although in recent years, attitude towards sex seems to be changing, but I think it will take time. Even Geeta includes "kaam" (including fulfillment of sexual as well as physical yearnings) as a person's duty.

Morning rain locked the sex ed thread, it looks that was not enough for you to stop discussing the issue. You are a senior member of the forum, please behave accordingly.:(

There is no misbehaviour on my part. MR's locking of the thread reminds me of two issues

- When it comes to sex and religion, we are as prude as Americans and cannot have a level headed discussion.

- The locking is akin to recent censorship of South Park episode by Comedy Central. I am not opposing MR's decision, but using hateful and vile messages by some members on board surely does not contribute positively towards discussion of such delicate yet important issues.

My locking of the original post was based on the thread degrating into bashing of a certain Indian ethnic group, not because the topic is about sex.

Im certainly not a prude and would not lock a thread based on a discussion about sex. We are all adults here (hopefully) and can talk about Sex in a mature, constructive manner.

So talk away!

:D

Since Geeta also gives the importance to "Karma"....Indian population proves that they believe in doing it than talking about it ...following both the principles..Kaam and Karma..
