Has anyone gone through the credentials assessing process? I want to know if it helps to find work? It seems like an expensive and time consuming process. Is is worth it?
I had got my credentials assessed before coming to Canada but realised later that they were not accepted by my professional organisation for lisencing purposes. I guess proper homework is imperative as to which body you go to to get your credentials accessed.

It is money grabbing business invented by Liberals. Recently there was a recruitment done by CRA. They did not recognize UFT or CGA/CMA/CA assessment and instead required assessment by a few unknown universities which was costly (Approx 250 CAD) and time consuming and many of my friends could not apply due to time constraint.
I would be very happy if in future some Asian country (Most probably China) forces Canadian garduates to go for evaluation and slaps them back! However, till it happens, do your own home work as suggested by fass2008.
