Well, I would still be inclined towards Japanese cars like Toyota. I went to a dealership today as I am nearing to my date to buy the new VENZA-2010. I did speak about it and they showed me a list of all the recalls done by various car manufacturers. Toyota is ranked 17th, way behind Suzuki, Honda, Gm etc..

There are 16 other major players who have more recalls over Toyota.

Regards,

VJ.

The falling resale prices present a a very good opportunity for those who are looking to buy a used Toyota. You will be able to gain tremendous savings because of the fear mongering. Recalls are a fact of life with any car manufacturer and not unique to Toyota.

I am proud owner of two Toyotas and will buy more as and when need arises, Toyota is like God in automobile industry their basic model Corolla is now its 10th generation and every 4 seconds a Corolla is sold world wide, they have 35 mill Corollas world wide. Like wise each model is a legend....

Like many of us have realised this is a consipracy by Big B to slow down Toyota or Japanese Cars so that their cars can catch up in times to come with hybrid variations. Big B has few industries left so atleast for the industry which they have sunk in so much money they are doing their best ofcourse in National interests.

As long as we understand this, and dont panic to sell out Toyotas we are fine....How can a car which has been running since 1966 become unsafe in 2010 it s hard to digest.....Luckily this is not Windows 98 vs Vista story.....

I own a Toyota myself which I bought brand new, and no, I wouldnt look at any other car except Toyota if I was to upgrade myself with another car.

Just curious, is it a good time to snare some Toyota stocks, since their values are about 17% lower than what it was a month back, and then sit tight for about 2-3 yrs for profit maximization.
