The US today made it clear that India's patience would be"limited" if it faces a Mumbai-type attack again as it warned that Lashkar-e-Taiba was working in league with al- Qaeda to destabilise the region and provoke an Indo-Pak military confrontation.

This is just lip service.
They know India won't do anything.
How many more attacks will it take for India to do something?
There was Bombay blasts (twice big ones in 1990s and again in 2008 and many small ones), then the attack on Parliament and then the Bombay hotel attack.
If US really wanted to relay the message, instead of saying Lashkar-e-Taiba was working in league with al- Qaeda to destabilise the region and provoke an Indo-Pak military confrontation., they would have said Lashkar-e-Taiba was working in league with al- Qaeda and supported by Pakistan Govt, military and ISI to destabilise the region.
When these US diplomats visit India they say this, and when they hop over the border to Pakistan they play a different tune.

I agree with desibabu70, in full. We are a complex nation, when it comes to foreign policy - our foreign policy is tied to domestic vote-bank politics.
I find it amusing that we cry hoarse, about how we seek peace with our neighbors, at the expense of the lives of Indians. Just the other day, I saw a video on you-tube which said that India has never invaded another country in 10,000 years. As much as I agree that we don't invade other countries, I wondered how someone arrived at the \"10,000 years\" mark.
It is a shame that we can not protect our citizens from attacks from the neighboring Islamic country, simply because the government at the center wants to keep the minority vote-bank intact. It does not matter to the government, that people get killed by terrorists - all that matters is: Is my minority vote-bank intact?
I personally disagree with some policies that are followed by Israel, but I have no problem mentioning them as an example. This small country does not care about world opinion, when it comes to defending it's territory and it's people....... It does not negotiate with terrorists, and will willingly sacrifice a few lives to save the rest, when they carry an assault on the terrorists.
Do you believe, we will ever come close to that?

India did nothing when Mohammed Ghaznavi looted Surat 17 times. So what do you expect it will do today ?

You know you are a desi when ........ You spew forth the virtues of India, but don't want to live there...............You've never had a tanning salon membership
Why everyone wants to have PEACE with Pak ?
Its all over now.
Indians have waited long enough. Had so many attacks by this so called terrorist ( don't say Pak was not involved )
Also India should not wait for US to take action
India is capable to attacking Pak by themselves
Only thing which is preventing this for so many years was MINORITY vote
Hope that happens soon.....
