Hi

We have not had a vacation for over 4 years, so were planning to take the children to Disney World during the March break for 6-7 days.

Please give me your thoughts on the best package deals available, where to stay, flights, shd we fly from Buffalo, any agents that are reliable etc.

Thank you..... I really appreciate the effort members in the forum take to reply. God bless you

We visited Walt Disney World, Orlando this past Christmas. Tried loking for good air deals, but ultimately landed driving.

Stay - Tons of hotels around. I searched on Expedia and got a good deal. My room had a fridge and microwave, which came in vry handy. Later I was told about a timeshare website - http://stayhereplayhere.com/ You have to attend a 2 hr seminar and they will give you a good deal on hotels. They do have some deals (without the seminar too). Check their website

Travel - Flying from Buffalo is any day cheaper than Toronto, unless if there's a vey good deal from Toronto. Other option is to drive (about 2100ims from Toronto)

Agents - What type of agents are you looking for

Others - You can buy Disney tickets from the local Walmart, they are about $5 cheaper than buying from Disney directly. Alternatively you can also buy from http://www.officialticketcenter.com/ They do not deal in used tickets, and are open 7 days a week until 7:30pm. They are approx. $10 cheaper than Disney (I bought my tickets from them, after I got there). Keep in mind there a lots of agents selling used tickets. Everytime you enter the park, they scan your finger print, so it's not advisable to buy used tickets.

Tips:
* Get to the park early. Most parks open at 8am, target for shortly after that. Especially if you're planning on going during the March break, the park will be crowded.
* You can take food in the park - no issues at all. They do check your bags.
* Parking is $14 / day. Most hotels have a shuttle bus, but it's like 2/3 trips a day, which may/may not be convenient

I have a soft copy of the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2010, if you need a copy.

Check you PM, if you have more Q's, call me.

Good luck with your trip.

Thank you for your reply.

How long did you take to drive? Did you take a break somewhere?

Did you stay at a hotel in Disneyworld or outside.

There are too many options to choose from and that is difficult.

By agent I meant, someone who will book the entire trip - flights, hotel etc.

Not sure what an IP address is? where can I find it.

Thank you ... all you stated is very useful

It is free ticket only for one day... which is good for locals but not us when you want to visit all parks during one trip.
