Mr Fido i know you may sound blunt and all that, but at the end we are all sailing in the same boat but in different decks thats only the difference everybody wants to be a wana be at some point you may have changed from DBA to basis then to security now you are deep into it and if someone is trying to go higher i think he or she is not stealing anyones job if i leave my job and get into sap job then the job i quite is vacant which creates a job for someone else thats how it works and has worked for years and will work for years to come seats are waiting for the right ppl to be grabed. but i agree you may have different points of views ...

There is one institute in Mississauga which gives that based on your negotiation skills. Donot be afraid that it is a bad institute. The Institute uses the same kind of instructors that take classes in top institutes (so called) in the GTA.
you can PM me for confidential insider information which I gave to another CD too in the same thread.
In the end, it is up to you to negotiate and get a good deal and move on to SAP.
You can PM me or e-mail me by looking at the profile button which appears below each and every one of my posts.
Looking forward to help a desi to teach a lesson to the desi institutes which gouge unknowing desi's by promising them the sun and the moon.

Peace by a PD

Even if they are Pucca Dravidans ??? :) ... Honestly I would love to educate myself in India on vacations and I ve seen a lot of people doing that .

Jokes apart , I didn't say that there there are no bad apples .. there are in every profession ... but I would not agree that no knowledge / hard work is needed in IT ... There are people who have worked on Technologies for 10 -20 years and the basic reason why we see such unpreceedented advancements in Information Technology is because of people like these ...

Like I said , why take the short road to success ... take a longer , hard working and a more sustainable road ....

Lastly , I m not sure how much sincereity comes in weekend courses ... focus is very important esp while atttempting to change careers . But then again yes , its important to weigh in the out of job risks also .

I think a course from SAP Authorized Institute would look good on your resume .... These courses cost INR 2 - 2.5 lacs in India ... Browse for Sapient College ... When I was last in Hyderabad , I had come across an Institute (appeared to be reputable ) ... they were charging INR 30K for training and project placements ... you can pm me for more info ... Although there were others who were running SAP FI/CO ... BASIS etc .. for 7 - 10 K ... I took mine in ABAP and would not say I was disappointed ... it was more for knowledge than career ...
